Bread Pizza - Answer to impatient hungry tummies
A weeknight early dinner idea which struck me as I was having some friends visit me midweek.. I needed something filling & healthy & veggie & less-time-consuming & tasty....
Well its like searching for a perfect bride or groom which takes forever.. But.. thanks to our aunty.. I got the idea of making pizza topping on a bread and baking it to crispy perfectness of snack... Paired with hot tea, this was a perfect light snack for all of us... which kind of took us through dinner too.. :)
Here's what I used..

- 6 slices of white bread (brown will be fine too, I think, haven't tried though)
- 3/4 of one green bell pepper chopped very fine
- 1/4 of a medium onion chopped very fine
- 1 celery stalk chopped very fine
- 8 - 10 olives chopped very fine
- 6-7 springs of green coriander leaves chopped very fine
- Grated cheese as needed (I used Mozzarella)
- Tomato ketchup as needed
- Salt + Black Pepper powder
Process
- Pre-heat oven to 375 F. Mine is a conventional oven which runs on gas.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper (If no paper, use a oil spray, just to make sure that the breads do not stick to the pan)
- Mix the veggies + salt + pepper in a bowl
- Place the bread slices on the baking sheet
- Smear tomato ketchup on all slices (As little or as much as you want)
- Next goes in one light layer of cheese
- Then spread a layer of veggies
- Followed by another layer of cheese (light layer)
- Thats it... Bake on 375 F for 15 mins and done..
Enjoy hot hot bread pizza with tea or even milk-shake will make it so much better !! It was powerful and took us all through dinner too.. :) Hope you like it.
